Falasol 1.2 is in beta phase! Let’s have a sneak peek into what’s coming.
I’m going to describe step by step how I crafted the above sound:

I started with 20 Hz pitch – an infrasound from the edge of human perception.
Next applied trmendous 10000% Vibrato with 15 Hz speed.
In result the oscillation travels all the way up to 20000Hz which is almost the high-end of perception.
In order to achieve the ‘blip’ shape I moved the sine wave down so that only it’s peaks are present: Center = -1.5 (new)
Now we’ve got something that I called a ‘popcorn machine gun’

Of course the real popcorn never bursts like that!
Some pops are stronger than the others, so I messed them up by applying amplitude randomization: Rnd = 1.5 (new)
The timing of the pops tends to be quite chaotic too, so I set Noise Depth = 100% & Noise Speed = 50Hz (new – previously not possible for Vibrato or Tremolo)
…and that’s it :)

The whole project looks like this (yep, that’s the new UI :)

Note that it’s only one Harmonic with single Vibrato effect applied.
The sound is still quite sterile, but I’ll leave it here for you.

To keep it even more real, I’d recommend adding some high frequency noise on the Harmonic’s Base wave.
This would better emulate all the corn mingling and banging on the paper bag.

Falasol 1.2 will be available on 10/10/10 :D
